“Do It Yourself” Combination Salt Shaker and Pepper Mill Kit

The “Do It Yourself” Kit is a great project for the home crafter. The unfinished wood is turned from sturdy Plantation Hardwood, which easily takes the paint or stain of your choice.  Or you can paint it your favorite color.   Whether you choose a dark elegant stain or a light modern stain, both will beautifully compliment any dining room table, kitchen.  Or paint it red, white and blue for a patriotic picnic table.  The possibilities are endless, so let your creativity flow!

This unique project offers the convenience of a salt shaker and pepper mill all in one unit.  The top is a salt well, and the bottom is a pepper grinder.  Each unit has its own unique wood grain, and not two are alike.  Whether course or fine, the pepper grind is adjustable by using the convenient knob in the base. The completed kit measures 8” tall and 2.5” wide.

Super Glue or Epoxy and a Phillips Head Screwdriver required for assembly.

**Note – Some light sanding with 200 grit sandpaper might be necessary to remove very minor blemishes in the wood.  It is best to first put a coat of Sanding and Seal on the wood before painting and after staining.  For your convenience, you can download extra instructions here.
